A Pre-Wrath Tribulation Point of View - 01/12/2004
Just stumbled on your site a couple of days ago. Love its content and the obvious message of the Gospel. Haven't read everything as of yet but have read many of the articles, comments and references. Being a born-again Christian having not only accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior but also have received the gift of the Holy Spirit I was for many years convinced of a pre-trib rapture. Having read many of the prophetic verses, in His Word, over and over again related to His second coming I have come firmly to the opinion that Christ returns just prior to the wrath of God and raptures His
church. I am more and more convinced that other doctrinal beliefs in this area, particularly the pre-trib rapture, are indicative of the "easy-Christianity" apostate beliefs being assimilated into the Christian church quite readily. Whether or not we believe in a pre-trib or pre-wrath rapture will not determine our future and eternity with Him. However, I
would just like all Christians everywhere to consider the possibilty that we go through the tribulation, we receive tremendous persecution with the likelihood of matrydom during this period and that the antichrist may somehow even fake a pre-trib rapture or use deceit to confuse the one true
body. Thank you for your website and the truth that resides there which is founded in the words of our Lord and King. May God bless your efforts and establish your presence in a lost and confused world. Greetings in the name of Jesus!
CONTENDER MINISTRIES RESPONSE:
Hi B.J. Thanks for writing to Contender Ministries. Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you also for your words of encouragement. They mean a lot to us. We agree with you that one's view on when the rapture occurs has no bearing on one's salvation. We believe most scripture points to a pre-tribulation rapture, but we also recognize that there is room for debate. Jennifer put forth our view in her article, "Like a Thief in the Night - the Rapture of God's Church." We like to tell people that regardless of your view of the timing of the rapture, be ready to face Jesus before you see any signs, and be prepared to suffer tribulation for His sake. Thanks again for your email. May God bless you as you serve Him.
