FAIR Response Section

The Foundation for Apologetic Information & Research (FAIR) is a Mormon apologetics organization whose mission is to "address the charges leveled at the doctrines, practices and leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) with documented responses that are written in an easily understandable style."  While not controlled by, or affiliated with the LDS Church, this organization is waging a somewhat successful campaign of disinformation.  Many Mormons, on the verge of admitting that Joseph Smith was a false prophet, are thrown into confusion by the FAIR apologists.  However, I've found the articles on FAIR's website to be quite deceptive inasmuch as they quote Scripture, LDS leaders, and Christian apologists out of context, and hide as much information as they provide.  One woman, a lifelong Mormon who recently left the LDS Church, had this to say when I sent her a rebuttal of one of their articles, "I can see now how shallow their answers really are on these things."  Below, we have started providing rebuttals to some of FAIR's articles.  It is not our intent to answer every single article of theirs, but some are so deceptive, a rebuttal is required.
